The real blasphemers

Today I came across videos from the new talk show Mr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain is hosting on ARY digital. I saw the whole thing and was truly disgusted the way he and the (self-proclaimed) scholars were trying to ‘IMPOSE’ the blasphemy ordinance. The facts they (the scholars) produced are in total contradiction with historical facts.

I have posted before why is it that blasphemy law contradicts Islam, it was just a way of gaining power by the dictator of that time. The host asks other religions why is it they don’t keep Muhammad as names for a child, Mr. Hussain let me tell you why. If you happen to read newspapers you might well have seen news like these, “The suicidal attack was carried out by a young man named Muhammad Ali”. Every other extremist is called by the sacred and Holy name of Muhammad.

How can you expect someone to be attracted towards a religion which you show as a religion of DOOM. It is because of you sir, that Pakistan is at the height of intolerance EVER recorded in history. It is because of YOU, that Salman Taseer lost his life. For God sakes, stop this blasphemy towards Islam and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).

If you are so much knowledgeable and (in your own words) ‘responsible’ and so much showered in the love of Islam and the Prophet (peace be upon him) kindly answer my article about blasphemy law. If that is so hard for you answer this simple question I am quoting:

In Pakistan, Hindus are allowed their right of polytheism, Christians are allowed the right of calling Jesus the son of God (in most cases just God), other religions are allowed to worship many other objects which is fine, but in that same country, blasphemy towards Prophet is punishable by death. How is it that blasphemy towards God (the creator of the universe Master of everything living or dead) is acceptable for you, and blasphemy towards his humble servant (the man who brought us towards the one and true God, who’s only mission in life was to show the way to his creation towards the omnipotent power of this universe) is punishable by death? How can you explain that to me? If God says He will do justice with people who disrespect the Prophet (peace be upon him) WHO ON EARTH MADE YOU THE JUDGE FOR THIS ACTIVITY?

what can be done, nothing can stop Pakistan from becoming Afghanistan.

Society bends over backward to be accommodating to religious sensibilities but not to other kinds of sensibilities. If I say something offensive to religious people, I’ll be universally censured, including by many atheists. But if I say something insulting about Democrats or Republicans or the Green Party, one is allowed to get away with that. Hiding behind the smoke screen of untouchability is something religions have been allowed to get away with for too long.

I have a question to ask. In Pakistan any disrespect shown to prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Allah or Quran is a blasphemy punishable by death. Does a similar law applies to a blasphemer who shows disrespect to God, prophet and holy scripture of some other religion??? And by some other religion I dn’t mean Abrahamic religion only. I mean any religion including Hinduism. If not then why not!

Aamir Liaquat is one guy who has distorted our religion to such a great extent. What is most unbelievable is the fact that this guy has such a huge following! People will take his word for anything. That is the main problem with our nation I suppose, no one wants to study and do research on his/her own. They’d rather take the views of people like these who don’t have an inkling what our religion’s all about!
And about your question, I do wish somebody would answer it… These are only self-proclaimed guardians of our religion. On one of the talk shows after the Taseer murder, one ‘cleric’ was asked about the logic of his defending qadri’s actions. He was asked that if the Prophet was so forgiving, and if God is so forgiving, then why do we need to kill a person accused of blasphemy. The answer was that the Prophet had the luxury of granting forgiveness for such a sin, but we do not have the same luxury. We cannot forgive. Who the hell died and gave them the supreme authority to pass such judgments. A judgement we do not find anywhere in the Quran, I might add!

  5. I would like to question the whole logic of Blasphemy….
    what is Blasphemy … ?
IF i don’t believe in ISlam or anyother religion I automatically become blasphemous because i don’t agree to it

It was first made by the British. The purpose was to save the Church of England from criticism. In (the now) Islamic terms, speaking ill or showing hatred towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is considered to be blasphemous. What these self-proclaimed clerics do not understand is the fact that laws like these might end criticism within the state, but it rages more criticism by other religions outside of Pakistan.

More people start hating Islam because these ‘clerics’ make it seem that Islam is so intolerant, while the personality of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a very peaceful one. He was the most tolerant man the world has ever seen. It is because of such acts by these ‘clerics of DOOM’ that people get reason to raise fingers on Islam and criticize more savagely.

Because, in the words of Ansar Abbas, we have to have some ghairat to consider ourselves Muslims… Basically you can go steal, loot, beat, kill, do whatever and that’s fine.. so long as your ghairat is there to ensure that you can demonstrate your manliness (read: brutality) when it comes (real or perceived) dishonour brought on the Prophet.

I think we have got to have not some but lot of ‘jahalat’ to consider ourselves Muslims…….
