Making martyrs out of terrorists

Yes, it happens nowhere else, but Pakistan. I was shocked and disgusted at the news myself, how can one dub Osama bin Laden a martyr? Have Pakistanis learned nothing yet? Why is the clergy hell-bent on deteriorating Pakistan’s (already maligned) image? I wonder who votes for these pathetic people.

Osama Bin Laden, the man who has the blood of millions including Muslims (even Pakistanis) on his hands. These self-proclaimed clerics who take half of their aid from the US are preaching the infamous ‘jihad’ against it proclaiming Bin Laden was a martyr!
Utter nonsense.

Did they miss how US flew into to Pakistan (completely paralyzing its defenses) and took Osama away in less than 24 hours? What happened, whether it is another conspiracy or not, that’s a different story. But, it goes to show that US can do anything, anywhere in Pakistani territory on its will and Pakistanis can’t do anything about it. This being the second time after the release of Raymond Davis, the infamous American terrorist.

Pakistan is a beggar to the US. It survives because of its aid, all major investments in Pakistan are based in the West. Yet, somehow these delusional beings want the country to stand up against the US? It is stupid but what else can we expect from these extremists, who reads the likes of Maududi, the father of hypocrites. Why is the nation blind, why do they fail to see that the biggest threat is dwelling within us, within our land and not coming from outside.

If this ignorance continues within Pakistan and its people, it is no doubt an invitation to God’s wrath and it is not far-fetched that America will be the bearer of it. These ignorant beings will meet the same shameful, painful and merciless end that Bin Laden met with. Osama Bin Laden, is nothing but a dead man, I might not even use the word man for him, he’s a dead cowardly beast.

Martyr heh!, I bet these self-proclaimed clerics don’t even know the meaning of the word martyr.

Shariah, the Saudi style (protests and rallies banned)

Protests ‘contradict’ Islamic law and are banned, Interior ministry declares

Saudi Arabia has imposed a ban on protests and rallies, the interior ministry declared “the protests and rallies are in conflict with shariah”, hence dubbing them unIslamic.  It amuses me, how Saudi Arabia is the ‘authority’ on Shariah, if it’s in their interest, on a given day, a democratic practice (if it is non-violent and non-raging) which has been there through the history of mankind (not to mention at the time of the Prophet peace be upon him) is suddenly unIslamic! While their minions in Pakistan, continue not only to protest a controversial law, but also glorify a murderer.

Such hypocrisy, from someone who claims to be the ‘servant of the house of Lord’. It isn’t surprising though, we have seen the same ‘twisting of Islamic references‘ from Pakistani (self-proclaimed) clerics too. However, the sad part is that the Islamic world (the common Muslim) fails to see this bigotry. It is due to the ignorance of common Muslims, they are being deceived  by the (self-proclaimed) religious elite. Islam have been hijacked by this elite and being used against a common Muslim. It will be interesting to see how clerics in Pakistan ‘interpret’ Saudi opinion (fatwa) about protests. If they do own it as Islamic, how will they justify their actions on the ‘protection’ of the controversial blasphemy law.

What “Mullah” want

Yesterday’s tragic incident, is nothing but a slap to the face of the nation. It wasn’t just a murder of a man, it was a murder of moral values given to us by Islam. It is not just the funeral of Shahbaz Bhatti, it is the funeral of Islamic principles, torn apart by the nation which claims to be the caretaker of this great religion. Every human, irrespective of their religion (except for many in Pakistan) has condemned this gruesome act of brutality. However, yet again, the clergy is quiet, none has come forward and condemned this heinous crime. Why? Because the killing machine called ‘Tehreek-e-Taaliban Pakistan” claims this murder in the name of the infamous, controversial blasphemy law.

I know, it came as a shock to me too. Not that the clergy failed condemn this act, but the fact that the atrocious Taliban are actually standing up for “rule of law”? There is a catch to this, they ONLY want to defend the blasphemy clauses while they are happy to break every other law in this country. All of a sudden, constitution is very important to them. Where is the mullah now? Are you happy ‘maulvi sahab’? Isn’t this what you really want? What else do we need to prove that this law is nothing but shame and misery towards Pakistan and the nation.

It is time to repeal this law once and for all, it has already claimed lives of many innocent people and have brought misery to others. Those who speak for it cannot bring forth a single piece of evidence neither from Holy Scriptures, nor from history. The facts they put forward are distorted and disgraceful, which have been proven over and over again. Yet the nation is unable to see through their disguise of ‘Holy men’, what deceiving and hypocritical beings they are.

Even if this incident doesn’t open our nation’s eyes, then I am afraid no Messiah is going to come for them. Pakistanis should understand the fact that these self-proclaimed religious scholars and these extremists, jihadist, ignorant and blood thirsty butchers (call them Al-Qaeda or Taliban) are one and the same. They have already hijacked our peaceful religion Islam and are using our beliefs against us, they want to rule the nation with fear and ignorance, that is what the Mullah want.

Taking hypocrisy to a new level

There is a saying,  “the true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity”; I think that this quote sums up all the politico-religious groups in Pakistan.

Since the infamous incident of Lahore, there has been a lot of controversy theories developing within the political system of Pakistan. This is a tough one for, not just for the government, but everyone even remotely involved with politics or government. Wikileaks have proven the fact that every political figure is either directly or indirectly in contact with the American establishment. Americans will not tolerate the fact that its ‘official’ gets punished for being a terrorist by another country, since they are the leaders in the global war on terror.

The issue has grown out of proportions, it’s now a matter of dignity rather justice. Americans have already announced that the case of Raymond Davis will affect the bonds between Pakistan and the United States, which (it may not appear the case to a commoner) is taken very seriously in Pakistani political camps. I don’t have to re-iterate the revelations of Wikileaks, one can figure why some in Pakistani politics are so keen to hand Raymond Davis over to American officials.

The most interesting side to this story is the one of our politico-religious sections. Progressions, are being carried out, speeches are being made, banners are raised and (American) flags are burnt in protest of the murders carried out by Raymond Davis in broad daylight. Ofcourse no one in their right mind can defend the extreme actions of Raymond Davis, every Pakistani is in a state of shock and rage after what happened in Lahore that day, this man should be brought to justice and that should happen in Pakistan only. But these people who are once again bringing the nation on the streets, are the same who not so long ago were celebrating the horrifying murder of Salman Taseer. Those who celebrate one murderer (Mumtaz Qadri) are condemning the other one (Raymond Davis). It really confuses me, how people follow these ignorant, self-centered, deceiving and self-proclaimed scholars who openly contradict their own actions? First the infamous ‘Namoos-e-Risalat Tehrik’, now Raymond Davis, they just need an issue, may it be calling Islam a peaceful religion (they don’t like it at all), or anything against the United States of America and they will make it look like its an ‘attack on belief’.

Why is it that the nation fails to observe their hypocrisy? When will Muslims of Pakistan will understand that fact that they are being played by these (self-proclaimed) religious scholars? How will the common Muslim know his religion is being hijacked by an ignorant man who doesn’t even know laws of Physics? The only way to put an end to this is to separate religion from politics. If that doesn’t happen, this menace will bring more shame and misery to the Nation.

Ignorance is a bliss

“No Muslim should attend the funeral or even try to pray for Salmaan Taseer,” a statement from Jamaate Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, one of the biggest organisations of the Barelvi, representing 500 religious scholars, said. “We pay rich tributes and salute the bravery, valour and faith of Mumtaz Qadri.”

“The supporter is as equally guilty as one who committed blasphemy,” the Jamaate Ahle Sunnat Pakistan statement said. It added that adding politicians, the media and others should learn “a lesson from the exemplary death”.
Read the whole story in Guardian.

I must say I am not surprised at this reaction from the (self-proclaimed) ‘religious’ scholars in Pakistan. Some of the (slightly more) educated are also behind Qadri’s actions, there is a facebook page paying tribute to this barbarian. I wonder how many of them actually understand Qura’an as most of the people ‘endorsing’ Qadri on Facebook are undergraduates. The interesting fact though is that many of them are foreigners ‘not’ Pakistanis. Goes to show Mullah has been at work outside of Pakistan too.

All of this, in defense of the draconian and controversial blasphemy law which has nothing to do with Islam in the first place! None of these (so-called) scholars or their followers have researched or consulted others on the issue of blasphemy. Those scholars who oppose the implementation of this law are silenced and blamed for apostasy. The first lesson of Islam is tolerance, but situations like these cause many other Muslims to re-evaluate their religion, but there is no other source for them except for these intolerant clerics. Since when Islam became so complicated? Every cleric is a vatican on Islam in his own domain and the ignorant masses have no where else to go besides them for ‘religious teachings’.

It is time for all of us, to make a choice. Either embrace the religion of sword, or come towards the religion of peace. Why is it that we cannot learn religion ourselves? God has given us brains, which is more open to facts than those of the clerics. Religion is something that is an individual’s attribute, it has no impositions, especially Islam.

The mullah has his own agenda, he has distorted Islam to gain power both politically and psychologically over the masses, cashing in on the most fundamental attribute of life, religion. The apprenticed masses blindly follow the word of the mullah, they are completely unaware of the fact that what they think is Islam, in reality it is anything but Islam. They are unaware of the fact that their actions are hurting the cause of Islam and strengthening its enemies. But I guess for them, ‘ignorance is a bliss’.

Killed in the name of religion [Salman Taseer]

The governor of Punjab Mr. Salman Taseer was assassinated on January 4th by a Policeman. The alleged killer confessed his actions, stating that it was ‘revenge’ for condemning the blasphemy law. Till now, none of the religious parties have condemned this action and the assassin is being titled as a hero in the extremists ranks.

There is no way a sane person can support this action. Incidents like these have already maimed the face of Islam. A while ago, I discussed the blasphemy law on this blog, and clearly proved that the law has nothing to do with Islam. Even the (self-proclaimed) educated debated with me on this. I would like to ask them, why is it that none of your ‘religious’ leaders step forward and condemn these actions? Do they support this? How is this a service to Islam?

Pakistan has been a hot bed of religious hatred, not only towards other religion, but also towards the minority sections of Islam. The menace of Mullah is widespread in the country. The lack of education and height of ignorance has supported the Mullah since the beginning and has caused the downfall of Pakistan.

I just hope this incident opens the eyes of the educated sections of Pakistan, so that they may stand up against this Mullahism which has disgraced Pakistan since the beginning.
